About

Maarten-Jan is a software engineer at Craftsmen, a small (~25 devs) consultancy company based in the Netherlands. He has extensive experience in developing JVM based (micro) services in both Java and Kotlin using frameworks like Spring. He specialises in designing and developing event driven and/or event sourced systems using among others the Axon Framework. He is currently working on the research project “Uit betrouwbare bron”, on how to build the best possible government registry.

As a hobby, I’m messing around with (local) AI development, Domotica and my homelab.
